Derek Emerson takes on new restaurant at District at Eastover in Jackson, MS

Uber-successful chef and businessman Derek Emerson has a new project at a familiar location.

Emerson, 56, who owns and operates the new Sacred Ground Barbeque in Pocohontas, the iconic Walker's Drive-In in Fondren, Caet Seafood in Ridgeland and Local 463 in Ridgeland, is working on a new project. It promises to be something special.
